APOSTROPHES AND CATASTROPHES - or - White House transcribers don't know a plural possessive from their collective ass

What did Biden say, exactly, about people like me?

I’m about to point something out regarding the White House’s editing of the official transcript for something Biden said a day or two ago. But first -

According to the political Left, a comedian at Trump’s Madison Square Garden Nazi rally insulted all Puerto Ricans with a racist statement by calling them “garbage,” and therefore President Trump, by extension, agreed (agrees) and thinks the Puerto Rican people are garbage, too. (In truth, the comedian likened the island of Puerto Rico to “a floating island of garbage” - apparently, PR has a trash problem).

But, in accordance with the Left’s spin, it’s time to: Hoist the flags! Ready the signs! Rally the troops! Pour into the streets and protest all things Trump (again… and again… and again…) because he’s RACIST, a NAZI, a FASCIST, a COMMUNIST COLLUDING PUTIN-LOVER, a MISOGYNIST, and all-around DESTROYER-OF-DEMOCRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well. (If you watch The View, their reactions have you thinking the boys’ restroom ran out of tampons, so they raided the little girls’ room).

Meantime, Joe Biden said this about me: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his (Trump’s) supporters…”. Oopsie. Biden’s VP and hopeful-successor, Kamala Harris, has been wording her way through various salads by espousing her “unifying” quals. As in, she’s a uniter. She will unite the country. Blah blah unity blah blah unity blah blah… all the while denigrating women who plan to vote for Trump, denigrating half (or more) of the country overall who plan on voting for Trump, as we’re called, in-turn, by various leaders of the Left: Irresponsible, irredeemable, deplorable, racist, misogynistic, and now - garbage.

Various Dem (dumb) pundits are pushing the idea that Biden actually meant “supporters” in the possessive sense - in that the “garbage” out there belongs to his supporters (the garbage presumably meaning the beliefs of Trump’s supporters, and their allied expressions of those beliefs). If true, what Biden said would have to be written and rendered as “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters’… ” - a plural possessive (the apostrophe after the “s”). Collectively, his supporters’ beliefs, expressions, and actions (their votes) are “garbage.”

However, the White House transcribers screwed up (blame it on the DEI, eh?): They’ve (for now) transcribed it as a singular possessive: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s…” (the apostrophe coming before the “s”). This statement says that Trump has one supporter, and that that one supporter’s garbage is “floating out there…”.

Not one pundit or journalist seems to have caught this, thus far. But this fact shows the absolute fallacy that Biden meant something opposite to what he actually meant. What he actually meant was said quite plainly:

That Trump supporters, to him, are garbage - and thus Biden thinks of me as garbage.

I’m politically registered as Independent. I certainly hope we, anyone who is not a lunatic Leftist, vote in numbers large enough to beat the cheat.
