Yes, truly, expecting a Democrat to fix government is like asking a rabid canine to be a good doggy: Whether we’re talking positives such as limits on spending, limits on the size and scope of government, limits on terms (which they never do); or whether we’re talking about negatives such as adding states, expanding the Supreme Court, increasing taxes, increasing regulations, increasing existing Federal programs, adding Federal programs, mandates, censorship… and so on… (which they always do or attempt) - the Dems are barking mad with lying spittle and spray constantly spewing from their collective set of jaws.
And just look at the two titular “leaders” of that party: Biden and Harris. Shoehorned into office via the big cheat, no one could have imagined anything remotely like this prior… I’d like to say, “We’re fucked,” but I struggle to remain decorous. I’m honestly doing the best that I can, so I won’t say that. I haven’t even gone into Pelosi, Schumer, and the Squad.
We have to vote out every Democrat and replace him/her with either a (true) Republican (no RINOs), an Independent, or - as in my case - a Bohemian Libertarian. Anything but a Democrat - and I no longer believe in “moderate” Democrats - save for maybe, maybe, Joe Manchin.
But, the entire Dem party has been taken over by the radical Left. So too for RINOs. Rather than limit government overreach, they are hell bent on establishing a Totalitarian UniParty. They’re already in many American’s very veins, they’re in their cells, they’re in their clotting capillaries, fer chrissakes. (I can say that; it’s a colloquialism). They’re into our kids for genetic engineering with experimental drugs while they wear diapers on their faces. Cue the circus music please and let’s all put flower pots on our heads and dance around. And Americans stand for this?? We need to get rid of this corrupt collective.
Of course, as voters, the maxim “Buyer Beware” always applies. Any candidate, regardless of party, requires great scrutiny - particularly people running for office who have no record. That is, citizens entering politics for the first time, claiming to be different, and claiming to remain pure should they go to DC. (Local politics bears these cautions too - whether the governor’s office, those of mayor, dog catcher - you get the idea).
Always remember this old, old adage (well, at least as old as I), and its application to politics: Be sincere: Once you can fake sincerity, you’ve got it made. More Oscar-worthy performances go down in Washington, DC than in Hollywood productions. As I well know - having met with an Ohio representative for 40 minutes once-upon-a-time - they do the face-to-face “concern” immaculately - then do nothing.
Remember a few short years ago when it was “a thing” - when politicians would routinely appear in fictional Hollywood dramas? They would appear as themselves, unwittingly destroying “suspension of disbelief” quite handily. Suspension of disbelief, in short, is this: In viewing any fictional play, film, TV show, etc., you must ignore that you’re watching actors working and collecting a payday, as directed by a Director, and as acting out a screenplay, and working within the framework of all things that support the crafting of that project. You don’t believe (if you’re rational) that what you’re watching is some magic window into actual events - it’s fiction. As an extreme example: Think of any Bond film. We don’t believe anyone could survive all that crash-bang-shoot-shoot nonsense, but you suspend your disbelief in order to enjoy the film.
There was also a misguided use of actual news anchors (I know Wolfe Blitzer appeared in a HW film, and there were several others. I think I recently saw Don Lemon on some drama or another, and back in the day I believe Rather made such an appearance… there were others). You would think an anchor, who is supposed to rely on credibility for reporting real-world events, would not be particularly anxious to expose acting chops in fictional dramas. Same for their networks. How would you ever trust them to not be acting in promoting the Left’s agendas? Duh. But, they certainly have those acting chops. Somewhere along the line, these productions stopped putting “real” people in their “real life” roles into fiction - it was too expository to just how fake these people are in their actual roles in life.
So, back to voting and Dems in particular. We must get rid of the rancid Left - that should be obvious even to clueless family members - lol (if only!). But we’ll vet all these snakes as carefully as we can. And we must evaluate all regardless of party affiliation. We must root out the “actors” (sigh; that’s most of them) and the “sincerity”-peddlers. They’ll groove the talk and walk any walk; they’ll furrow their brows (well, except Pelosi), and nod their heads as they promise to limit, balance, unite, justice-ize, and fix “the system,” even as they rake, skim and take… even as they promote racism… wokeism… even as they ascribe terror motives to patriots, and misappropriate motives to actual terrorists… constantly dealing under the table… working to establish the exact opposite of what they promise. Again -
Expecting a Democrat to fix government is like asking a rabid canine to be a good doggy.
For, truly, today, any person of sound character and true-worth would never, NEVER, EVER enter the Democrat party in seeking office for purpose of making a sincere effort toward betterment of these United States. In the absence of better information, it’s a safe assumption that far more often than not, a Dem is a thief, a perjurer-in-wait or an actual one, and a manipulator in driving wedges and in driving self-aggrandizement, living on braggadocio, puffery, and enrichment. And, what the heck: People like Joe Manchin should not only leave that party - they should have left it many, many yesterdays ago.
We’ve got the numbers if we can make the turnout happen:
