Read Victor Davis Hanson’s excellent column at RealClear Politics, Premodern Diversity vs. Civilizational Unity.
Then, have a look at my addressal of much of the same in my poem, as taken from A Bohemian in a Precarious Belfry - Vol. I. The Kindle version is now on Amazon - the paperback is soon to follow. For your consideration:
Progress
To hell with progress – I can’t stand it
Everything’s a mess - lookin’ like nobody planned it
From traffic jams, horns blaring
To blogs and boards, souls baring
The mighty hoards, who must be heard
Holding signs, they carry The Word?
Let’s progress so we can be,
All together, so we can see
How someone living, striving to grow up,
Can tolerate someone who wants them to blow up,
The American “Salad Bowl,” as any other
Must be protected, with a cover
Certain things in, many things out
And in proportion – who measures the amount?
I see a woman, in a burqa
What’s the point – in coming to America…?
A burqa’s free? Free from what?
I wish to know, what are her thoughts…
Expression covered – not a trace
Expose her thoughts when she won’t expose her face?
Is my sister a sinner, face exposed?
Or is the “sin” merely what some suppose?
And if a sin is commission of omission
Why not evolve, and throw off your submission?
Gone the day of assimilation
Many are those who propose assignation
Create a society one, where tolerance begets pain
A pleasure to none – what was the gain?
We are losing America. Our government, judicial system (the DOJ on down), other alphabet agencies (FBI, CIA), the alphabet dictums/agendas such as DEI, CRT, ESG, as well as outside-American influence (and coercive “boot”) of WEF, WHO, etc., are antithetical to freedom of any sort. (Look each or any of those up, as necessary. [Use DuckDuckGo(.com) - don’t use Google]).
If you have neighbors or offspring or relatives who are beginning to waver, point them to the sound, sober, critical analysis of those agencies and their rancid agendas - NOT the Wikipedia crap content.
