It's Coming If We Let It: THE FEDERAL DEPT. of MEDIA, NEWS, and INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

One of our most important, most foundational, freedoms is our right of free speech. It is enshrined in our Constitution, and actively worked against by the political Left. Through “wokeism,” as well as spurious charges of racism and “misinformation” (and their calls to criminalize “misinformation”) the political Left attempts to censor discussion, content, and information, and therefore abolish simple reason, fact, truth and science - and the related dissemination.

It is literally the slow-motion grind for the destruction of empiricism.

I’ve written about this before, but many here may not know: The Third Reich, the Nazi regime, had its own equivalent of “federal departments,” (of course, any gov’t. does) to include one that controlled media. That shouldn’t be at all surprising. Media of the time comprised the press - newspapers, magazines, books, pamphlets, journals - and films and radio. Controlling all this was the nefarious Ministry of Propaganda and Enlightenment.

(“Propaganda” in this context means that which is propagated; that which is grown, disseminated and spread, as well as the meaning into which the word “propaganda” has settled: Propaganda being the regime’s required, biased, narrative at the expense of objective truth… its version of “truth” in deciding how to control thoughts and actions of the people).

This Reich, in control of Germany from 1933 to 1945, also included most of the European continent at various times, to include rule in the east comprising areas of the Baltic states, Belorussia (now Belarus), Ukraine, and European Russia; Poland and the protectorate of Bohemia-Moravia; Serbia and Greece (where occupation was shared with the Italian government); and the ostensibly independent satellite states of Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. Westward, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and France were all under German occupation at various times.

The Reich Ministry of Propaganda and Enlightenment controlled all news and public information - even daily discourse - which, in part, helped the Wehrmacht and associated military elements continue the war well-past the point for any hope of an “ultimate victory.” Do a little research into Sophie and Hans Scholl (← please read this) who, along with the White Rose Society, had the temerity to pass out anti-war leaflets on the University of Munich campus in 1942 and early 1943.

In 1943 the war was still seen to be in the balance by reasonable German people (most of whom were not Nazi Party members), as aided by a controlled media. But even the German officer corps, those free of Nazi fanaticism, thought the war was winnable - being that this was still in front of what turned out to be the last, major, German offensive on the Eastern Front: The Battle of Kursk, involving a vulnerable Russian salient, and this situation’s leading to the largest tank battle in all of history. Sophie and Hans were not naïve young people: They were still ensconced inside a Reich that was just short of its very zenith of power, still occupying 90% or more of its territorial conquest. “Brave” falls far short in describing them. Sophie Scholl’s last words prior to being guillotined are beyond remarkable. I’ve had this 20-year-old woman’s picture on my computer(s) desktop(s) for years.

Given the Democrat’s unrelenting push into every corner and crevice of daily American life, and absent a reversal of House, Senate, and Executive status, (even the precarious nature of the Court) it is not hard to see a coming, new, Federal department and associated (mad) power: Something such as the Department of Media, News, and Information Management. After all, at present, the Federal Government has inspired lockdowns and mandates that ooze their way into every corner and crevice of life… and has mandated entry to your veins and changes to the cells of your body - as aided by a lockstep media. Attacks on outliers are unremitting. Control of news and info? It’s 90% accomplished, along with threats of criminalization for speaking truth about Covid and associated drugs.

It’s like we spilled a bucket of cheap tar on a leaky roof, and now it’s dripping its way into the living room… so why not a “ministry” such as this, regulating everything you see and hear via media and its related info? Such as Pravda (of the former Soviet Union). Such as the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media (Russia). Such as The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (China). Such as any totalitarian-governed society, such as Cuba, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, and many others.

Via Federal pressure on Governors, in-turn Mayors and, in-turn, cops - we actually end up with the insanity of police accosting a dining family with kids in New York. At the same time, the NY subways have people pushing people onto tracks. Insane. Why not quash news/info such as this? It can be done with harsh enough punishments for exposures, and control of dominant media.

Why not control of just not news and information - why not include all entertainment media? Movies, shows, games, apps, broadband, news broadcasts - all slavish to wokeism and the Uni-Party line. We’re most of the way there now, with only a handful of outliers - OAN, NewsMax, GETTR, and independent podcasts… and some startups. What will stop the uni-media version of “truth”? The lockstep of CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, MS-NBC, Google, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and their related censorship? How long will Substack remain free? (Kudos for the present).

Only an informed citizenry and as true a vote as we can manage will stop a Federal department such as the one I’ve described - which is my effort here. As surely as water runs downhill, if you don’t impede that flow, water enters your basement, your home… so too Democrat/Totalitarianism intentions will not stop flowing unless impeded… stopped.

What - you thought Federal departments were etched in stone, as founded long ago, and as some unchanging bedrock to the Constitution… they only exist as do the elements- no more, no less?

Many people don’t know that we did not have a Department of Education before 1979. It took the Carter Administration to emplace that boondoggle. Now the Feds can threaten states with the withholding of funds, to which they are now addicted, if you don’t teach that 2+2=5 if it meets someone’s “truth.” Merit, accomplishment, honors classes, competition, and even testing in some cases are obliterated in service to the rancid concept of “equity,” and in holding hurt feelings at bay. No more Fs… D is the lowest allowable grade in some districts. Watch for Ds to yield to minimums of C, and no one fails (except upward, à la Biden and Harris). Punctuality and simple standards are “racist” because not all cultures view timeliness and standards the same way - as the nation swirls the drain.

What will the next Federal department be and what will it do if we don’t stop (and reverse) the perverse expansion of government in what used to be a pragmatic America? An America that, not allowed, but recognized that local control by local government was what suited the people. Just consider what the Education department has wreaked, and consider: In ten years, imagine what today’s 4 year olds will be at 14. Today’s 8 year old at 18 upon HS graduation. Today’s 24-year-old university student at 34; graduate degree holders approaching 40. All indoctrinated, stupid, leftists if we don’t stop this.

Who will staff and maintain the country… from private enterprise, to non/not-for-profits, to the military, and yes, to the government… will we have a bunch of spineless cheese-eaters… nancy-boys and shrieking Maxine Waters-types kowtowing to Communism in America?

The influence of Big Government on all things public and private will not stop given current trends (“trends” being an awfully mild, anemic description for the way things are going) unless, again, we stop it.

Two incidents of censorship regarding this citizen’s speech show the immaturity of mundane, small, minds at companies that are squarely in the fold of suppressing truth and, in at least the one case, pushing propaganda - untruths.
