KAYLEE, MADISON, XANA, AND ETHAN - THE IDAHO MURDERS: Did I Just Stumble On the "BIGGEST CLUE IN THE ROOM"?
This tragic story continues to occupy the news. Increasingly, the police - the authorities, if you will, to include the FBI - seem to be at a loss for leads, clues, and direction. “Seem” (or seemingly) being the operative word here. They claim they cannot reveal all they know for fear of bespoiling the investigation.
First, let me pause for a moment, first, to pass along my condolences to the families and friends of these young people. These seemingly de rigueur - trite - offerings in the nowadays are nonetheless sincere in my pages and in most others’, I’m certain: I’ve lost close friends having been a pallbearer first at age nineteen… but never an offspring. Their parents’ grief cannot be imagined by me - but everyone’s grief is compounded at the “suspended animation” of this case.
Second, I must preface what follows by another important thing. I’ve mocked issues such as “142 genders” as floated by various political agendas and their supporters. I’ve also mocked as “LGBTQIA2SWTF…” the expanding alphabet soup in association with the Left’s political exploitation of Gay and Lesbian people, as well as the Left’s exploitation of various other sexual orientations. (My LG… friends vigorously castigate the addition of “MAP” - “minor attracted persons” - to the soup). But my support of (for short) Gay and Lesbian people has been steadfast from my earliest awarenesses of people other than me: a cis-gender/heterosexual. I support (true) Trans. Adults can do as they like - so long as kids are not indoctrinated with sex, gender, porn, and drag. My first close Gay friend was “Frank,” at my first U.S. Army duty assignment. He was “out” to me and perhaps two other trusted confidants; in those days, you were drummed out of service with a Less Than Honorable discharge at “best”, a Dishonorable Discharge at worst - both kisses-of-death to reputation and worthiness in many quarters at that time.
Also, it has become known to me that social media is running everything from parlor games in association with this crime, to good-faith efforts to assist with and solve it. In the case of the latter, it turns out that social media has, in fact, assisted authorities in the past in the resolutions to cases such as this one. So -
Back to my theory of potential motivation for this crime:
First the attack was described as a likely targeted attack, then no - it was random, then again as potentially targeted. Or vice-versa. It’s getting cloudy at this point… it’s been cloudy all along, actually, as to what happened, may have happened, and the various authorities (police, FBI, labs…) position vis-à-vis this horrific crime (crimes).
Kaylee was attacked with more force… more virulence… than the other three, according to sources. Was she a primary target? Why kill the others? For that matter, why leave two people (of six total in the house) unscathed? The two who escaped violence were on the first floor (of a three story house).
Kaylee and Madison were on the second floor; Xana and her boyfriend Ethan were on the third.
Here is what might be the proverbial “elephant in the room,” the potential “biggest clue in the room” (literally, in the case of the latter; a bedroom):
Kaylee and Madison were in the same room, in the same bed. Bear with me here.
Each young woman had her own private room on the second floor. Each had her own bed. They were found in the same room/bed. It must be considered, it must be asked, it must be investigated:
Were the two young women lovers? Were they exploring their sexuality? Did they inspire morbid jealousy* in a suitor* or suitress*? *(See below and the links for explanations).
Further, it must be asked:
Was a suitor (the term historically associated with a heterosexual male’s admiration for, and attempt to win affection from, a particular female), or a suitress (for our case here, a lesbian admirer of same position) enraged by the women’s newfound relationship?
In the case of a suitor, was this a hate-crime? In that, a heterosexual male, who is fixated on Kaylee, or Madison, comes to discover that the woman of his fixation is “queer” (in his pejorative view), a lesbian in a relationship, and he “goes off.” “Blows up.” Goes into a rant and rage that, for him, is uncontainable - and - he acts. Was this a mix of hatred for “queers,” paired with extreme jealousy? These cases of extreme jealousy are often referred to as “morbid jealousy.”
Conversely, a suitor may harbor no particular hatred or bias against Lesbians; it may be a matter of pure morbid jealousy, regardless of the flavor of competition and allied sexuality.
In the case of a lesbian suitress it would seem best-described as a matter of morbid jealousy (no hate-crime; maybe “hate” for the individual based on a spurn, yes, but no hate for a specific group category or identity).
These thoughts came to me thus: I know of no heterosexual guys or gals who share beds - other than through extremes of necessity, perhaps. That is not the case here. These women had their own private rooms and beds. In my youth, and now, I would have been/be extraordinarily uncomfortable sharing a bed with any buddy of mine. The heterosexual women I’ve surveyed feel the same regarding the sharing of a bed with another woman, irrespective of level of friendship.
It’s not hard to imagine that most Gay men and Lesbian women would find sharing a bed with people not of their sexual preference - or just anyone not to their taste… anyone - to be an uncomfortable thought (just as it is for hetero people - we’re all people):
Sexual chemistry and the attraction between personalities is both unpredictable and unknowable - Gay or Straight - until it happens. Therefore, Kaylee and Madison to be sharing a bed, whilst ignoring the ready privacy of their own discreet rooms, means something. And… what might it mean to another person, or others?
No one is discussing the “Biggest Clue in the Room” - literally. That bedroom, that bed, and the reason for the two women to be in it at the same time: What is that relationship… and did it trigger another person or others?
Who might that have affected?… the killer (or killers)?
Note that the picture above shows Madison with Kaylee on her shoulders. I don’t want to be accused of reading too much into that pic, or stereotyping, or anything else. But I think I know what that means. However, I cannot be certain. It’s a hunch.
Whatever the relationship between the two women, it may be immaterial and purely coincidental to these killings. But it may also be central - and therefore, it cannot be discounted in a case that is clearly stalled and going nowhere fast. (Irrespective what the authorities claim… we’re going on a month).
Kaylee, Madison, Xana, and Ethan: Rest in peace. Your killer/s will be found, tried, convicted, and held accountable. With your passings, I hope you are all someplace good, and that your relationships remain.
