NEW POSTAGE STAMPS FOR 2022 - Including one honoring Biden?
Where's Kamala's? It's parked for a re-work of the draft below
Biden is not even out of office, which is generally the ethic for the Post Office’s issue of a stamp honoring any specific individual - actually it may be death - but the rumor is the “Biden Stamp” is on the way for 2022.
I must admit, having collected stamps in a major way as a kid, that I’ve seen the “off-brand” stamps beyond the simple postage schema: You know; stuff like “Postage Due” stamps, “Special Delivery” stamps, “Forever” stamps, “Certified Mail” stamps, etc. But this one is quite unique, I believe.
It had to be, for Biden is our first president to do everything wrong: Domestic spending; managing the economy; zooming inflation; foreign relations; Afghanistan withdrawal; Covid/lockdowns/mandates; crime; the border - and on and on. Something very special and fundamental had to be incorporated - and it was.
Even many on the Left, voters and pols alike, are coming to a conclusion that Biden is a giant zero.
There was thinking in Washington that a simultaneous honoring of our Vice President was in order. However, the administration did not like the proposed “Kamala” stamp. I dunno, it has a certain spirit. Having started her career in politics as former Mayor of San Francisco Willie Brown’s mistress, the statement has a powerful message in two contexts, and I think it’s rather succinct, don’t you?
Of course, the half-million dollar postage amount might seem ridiculous even to Leftists at first glance, but it is actually in honor of the Democrats’ belief that multiple trillion dollar spending bills will cost “zero,” as in nothing; therefore, why not a stamp of astronomical, empty, “value”?
I think they should have simply rounded up to a cool million.
After all, when inflating a completely unqualified, incompetent, resident of our Vice Presidency by virtue of her color and sex, the sky has to be the limit lest we be accused of racism and sexism.

NP: Stupid Girl, The Rolling Stones
- and - Little Red Rooster (and a couple others) ~ couple things: Nice to see the camera go to Keith for his guitar solo on the first, and toward the end of Stupid Girl, there’s an interesting shot from above, at about a 45 degree angle. Unusual for the time. Also, doing Little Red Rooster, a slow blues, in the environment of the Ed Sullivan Show took confidence, no doubt. The Stones come back and “play out” the show’s end credits with an instrumental. For those who dig early Stones, you have to see this: Color, fairly hi-def; the audience is a trip. There’s a couple shots from behind the group; the cameras are like Sherman tanks, and the view to the audience with the Stones backs in view, is a trip.

Those would be perfect stamps for each of them.
