The comedian Bill Maher recently said that he doesn’t think the Dems can win another presidential election. I’m inclined to agree.
The chief difficulty is that they've achieved a critical-mass: Theirs is now a gravitational pull acting upon every narrow-niche-identity person, cartel, terrorist, illegal-immigrant-aspirant, anti-Constitutionalist, communist, and general miscreant from every cracked stewpot in the nation - and even exhibiting that same gravitational pull throughout the globe - this is not hyperbole. And it is why, thankfully, we began deportations simultaneously with securing the border.
As the Dems accrue more and more in number of the aforementioned, they naturally attract more and more on an accelerating basis, from an ever-wider cast of the mentally-challenged/mentally-ill, driving out and displacing “JFK Democrats” and other old-school “working-man/working-woman” Dems. Their party’s flailing is now modeled on the Film Noir movie model: a character or two find themselves in the quicksand of their own bad actions, and as they struggle to right their situation, they make things worse. The harder you struggle in quicksand, the faster you go down - but not struggling means you go down none-the-less… just a little slower. Die quick or die slow - but die you will. That would seem to be the Dem party.
Another analogy: The Dem party is the Titanic. They hit the iceberg of lunacy some time ago… the deck is listing, but the band is playing (braying?), and people are playing games kicking ice around on the deck. But what’s this? We just scraped another iceberg! And… what? Now another? Who’s in charge of this sh**-show, anyhow?? Wait! Wait!! We’re headed straight toward another! We’re sinking but this one’s gonna end our misery ‘cause we’re gonna ram it straight on!! That is, we’re fronting Newsom, Harris, Walz, Jefferies, Omar, Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib and Pressleyas, et. al, as our national leaders?
That is because… that is what they’ve got.
I think the Dems have been redefined resultantly because this is what they are comprised of: They're ill. Let me add - voting for them identifies that particular voter as the same general ilk. There. You really do have to be mad to vote Democrat. At best I guess I can say that certain individuals are merely ignorant - they don’t know any better - but that’s hardly a compliment. And, if this were to be a slogan - “Ignorance is Illness” - well, that rolls off the tongue quite handily, doesn’t it?
In watching President Trump’s recent speech to both houses of Congress, it should be obvious to all sensible people by now that the Dem party has morphed into a magnet for the mentally ill and those simply corrupt.
I believe the party passed the tipping point a decade or two ago, whereby more mentally challenged people were in the party than those possessed of a bit of sense. The people in the party today are anti-empirical, anti-sense, anti-happiness, anti-merit, and only know how to tear down what others are busy building. Thus, ever-more decent people (the few remaining, that is) will be leaving, and leaving holes to be filled with the mentally-ill and corrupt. Can you stand another analogy? It's akin to a dirigible leaking its precious helium (something meritorious assisting flight) and filling the resultant space with lead shot. The Dems will go down ever-faster. And faster. And faster, and faster, and faster - accelerating the plummet. I think they're in the "screaming toward the ground" phase already.
It's amazing to remember how popular Trump was with everyone, left or right, when he was a businessman making money for Hollywood and various real estate and general business interests. Oprah was a buddy (I'm sure you've seen the clip where she's interviewing him about potential presidential aspirations). It's sad and frightening to know that someone from outside the rancid professional political class cannot run (absent great, great courage and resources) for consequential political office(s) - not without accruing defamations, assassination attempts, trumped up (no pun) judicial action/charges, Reich Ministry of Propaganda-style broadcast content, resultant mass formation psychosis (TDS), and more.
I strive to remain bright regardless of my surroundings, but I don't know a single Dem these days that I can respect whether national, local, family, pundit, professor... anything and anyone. They disgust me in the truest sense of the word. No hyperbole, no smear, no agenda... they simply disgust me. Pick your disgust: Expending billions for EV charging stations - and maybe a dozen got built? Sending 2nd graders on gender-affirming day trips from school (while banning parent participation)? Recognition of MAPs? (Minor Attracted Persons). Sustaining war? Destroying our sovereignty? (What constitutes treason these days, anyway?). It’s hard to stop a litany, but stop I must to say this: It's almost like they're some kind of slimy worm: You can't blame the worm for what it, simply, is. That's how I now view Dems. They don’t want to “learn” lessons of an election; they don’t want to represent the electorate and its mandate; they don’t want to “serve” - they want to dictate, indoctrinate, and dominate.
As a final thought: Can we stop calling the Democrat Party the “Democratic Party”? They are not democratic. We don’t call their individuals “Democratics.” They’re Democrats, and the party is the Democrat Party. (I’m not speaking of our Constitutional Republic… just the Democrats). Let’s please stop calling them the “Democratic” Party. They’re communists, Marxists, and fascists. That’s Democrats, and that’s the Democrat Party.
There.

So many people are writing articles proclaiming the Democratic Party's obituary. This very premature. The Democratic Party has some big problems, sure, but those problems are not fatal. Political parties always go through rough patches. They usually recover. The Democratic Party survived the Civil War. It isn't going anywhere. Most likely, the Democratic Party's recovery will happen in one of two ways - either they will get a leader who turns it around in a future presidential election campaign, or the Republicans will hit the rocks and the Democrats win by default. And current events could actually help the Democrats recover - their NGO grift machine made them dependent on the wrong people, and Trump taking it away from them could actually help them! Sometimes having too much money is a bad thing for this reason, and the sooner the Democratic Party returns to its roots, the faster it will recover.
